Used in your favourite pair of Witchery jeans to staple ponte tee, cotton is the most largely produced fibre in the world. Cotton is a breathable fabric that transmits moisture away from the body, provides protection against heat in summer, cold in winter and is a great hypoallergenic fibre with excellent durability.

Better Cotton Initiative:

Despite being one of the globes most favoured renewable textiles, the mass production of cotton can be detrimental to land, waterways and the farmers that grow it.

Witchery is committed to improving cotton farming practices globally with the Better Cotton Initiative. By buying cotton products from Witchery; you are supporting BCI farmers to grow cotton in a way that protects the environment and improves the livelihoods of farming communities. Better Cotton is not physically traceable to end products. However BCI farmers benefit from the demand for Better Cotton in equivalent volumes to those we ‘source’.

Encouraging a more holistic approach to growing cotton, BCI farmers minimise the harmful impact of crop protection practices, promote water stewardship, care for the health of the soil, enhance biodiversity and use land responsibly, preserve fibre quality, promote decent work and operate in an effective management system.
